Maestro Marcella Crudeli’s Musical Salons

On Saturday October 2nd, the magnificent Cloister of the Confraternity of San Giovanni Battista dei Genovesi in Rome’s Trastevere district was filled with music and enthusiasm.

The joyful musical day was devoted to the final stages of the first set of exams on the Magisterium Course, which was launched in April and was organized in collaboration with the Rotary Club Roma Ovest and Maestro Marcella Crudeli, founder and president of the Associazione Fryderyk Chopin.

The course is divided into 2 phases; the second stage will be an opportunity for candidates to perform with the ICNT Orchestra, I concerti nel Tempio, conducted by Maestro Daniele Camiz.

These five young contestants, from across Italy , were selected through an entrance exam- Michele Apollonio,17 years old, from Campobasso; Francesco Pambianco,16 years old, from Arezzo; Emanuele Nazzareno Piovesan,15 years old, from Gallarate; Alessandro Rolli, 20 years old, from Trieste and Emanuele Savron, 21 years old, from Trieste.

The pianists were well-prepared and talented. The recitals lasted 60 minutes, and the quality of the performances was widely praised by the enthusiastic audience. Les récitals ont duré 60 minutes et le public a beaucoup apprécié les qualités d’interprétation.

The jury was presided over by Aldo Imerito, initiator of the project and comprised of Luigi Schiffino, President of the Rotary Club Roma Ovest; Giovanni Grazioli, former President of the Rotary Club Roma Ovest; Laura Pennesi, of the Rotary Club Roma Ovest; Franco Carlo Ricci, Artistic Director of the concerts at the University of Tuscia in Viterbo; Silvia Rinaldi, former Professor at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro; Barbara Chiesi, External Commissioner, Professor at the Musical High School in Campobasso; Daniele Camiz, Director of the ICNT Orchestra and Maestro Marcella Crudeli.

Amongst the various invited guests were Mr. and Mrs. Giovanni Gabrielli, Mr. and Mrs. Bettio, Nina Orenga de Gaffory representing the Cuomo Foundation as well as many relatives and friends who came to celebrate the talented pianists!
