A Grand Piano Gift for the Nice Opera
The Cuomo Foundation has provided financing for the acquisition of a grand piano as part of its ongoing support for the Nice Opera House. This instrument will enhance lyrical recitals, auditions, and the Philharmonic Orchestra performances.

The Ballet Nice Méditerrannée and the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra are housed at the Opéra de Nice, the main opera house in Nice, France. Operas, ballets, and concerts of classical music are the three performing genres it offers.

On November 6, the opera house hosted a reception to celebrate the grand piano's arrival. The cultural institution's director, Bertrand Rossi, and his staff greeted members of the Cuomo Foundation, who were given the chance to hear the instrument's entire range of musical possibilities during a performance by pianist Thibaut Epp.

The Foundation has long supported the arts in all its many forms, from the participatory opera Babel staged by Nice Opera in 2021, the annual “Dora” mural painting competition in Burkina Faso, the Itinéraires artistiques de Saint-Louis in Senegal, and the annual Roma International piano competition and the Premio Roma Danza competition both held in Rome.

These numerous acts of patronage, aimed at promoting artistic creation, are in line with the Cuomo Foundation's long-standing commitment to supporting cultural projects around the world.
